Maria and Sean got engaged during an exotic trip abroad. When they were ready to tie the knot this travel-savvy couple decided to venture abroad once again, but this time they brought family and friends for a week-long celebration and made some new forever friends along the way! “Sean and I knew we wanted a tropical destination wedding from the start. We wanted the wedding week to be a vacation for our family and friends, and were focused on making it a week-long event where we could really spend time with everyone and cherish those moments,” Maria said. When the couple contacted our team at Bliss Events to help them plan their wedding we immediately connected over the love of travel and the importance of family. “Our whole team fell in love with Maria and Sean the moment we started talking with them. Not only are they fun and genuinely loving people with a great sense of style, we were completely enamored with their energy. What really struck us was their desire to throw an amazing wedding for their family and friends to enjoy! Many couples’ main focus is on the aesthetics of the wedding day, but Maria and Sean’s top priority was to turn their wedding week into a fun and memorable experience for their guests. We thought it was very sweet,” said Bonnie Chase of Bliss Events. Maria and Sean chose to have an oceanfront ceremony at The Cape followed by a reception at the hotel’s famous rooftop. The couple envisioned their wedding day decor to be a bit “boho with lots of neutral colors and greenery”. For the ceremony we designed a horseshoe-shaped arch adorned with pampas grass, greenery, and a mix of blooms in neutral colors. The whimsical design created a perfect frame for the couple’s I Dos without compromising the stunning ocean view. For the reception we set dark wooden tables with delicate lace runners, white napkin knots, brass flatware, and low centerpieces in warm neutral tones that mirrored the design of the ceremony arch. As the newlyweds entered the rooftop and were introduced as husband and wife, all the guests cheered beneath the thousands of overhead twinkling lights. It was a magical moment! When asked about her favorite memories from the wedding Maria was quick to respond: “Surprising our guests with a traditional mariachi band right after our ceremony was a great moment. We got to walk back down the aisle and the mariachi band was waiting to lead everyone to the roof for the cocktail hour! Also, we decided to surprise everyone with a firework show during our reception. Sean got to push the “Go” button launching the fireworks right at the perfect moment when the DJ played Celebration. It was perfection and the smiles on everyone’s face is a memory we will never forget.”. Thank you Maria and Sean for allowing Bliss Events to be a part of your special day. We are so happy we were able to bring your vision of a beautiful, fun-filled celebration with your loved ones to life and we’ll always think of you as our forever friends.
