Minimalist Destination Wedding Forged in Love and Neutrals at Acre Baja

An unforgettable first look that almost didn’t happen and vows that “wowed” the guests. Serina and Frankie had a minimalist destination wedding, but when it came to emotional display, their nuptials were anything but minimalist! Keep reading for the story behind one of our favorite, recent weddings. Serina and Frankie met at work. After a whirlwind romance, followed by an intimate backyard proposal filled with candles and flowers, the couple decided to have a destination wedding in Los Cabos. They knew early on that they wanted to have a wedding with minimalistic details and fell for Acre Baja’s perfect mix between contemporary design and tropical ambience. “Acre is such a stunning venue on it’s own. I’ve always favored minimalistic details so I wanted our theme/style to reflect a combination of modern, boho/chic,” Serina said. Bliss Events jumped at the chance to help Serina and Frankie plan and design their wedding. “We took one look at the Pinterest board Serina shared with us and were so excited! It included a lot of neutrals/pastel blush flowers, light table settings, and an overall minimalistic vibe. We couldn’t wait to start planning and get to know this lovely couple! The groom’s reaction during the first look was one of the sweetest, most genuine moments I have ever seen.” said Bonnie Chase of Bliss Events. When looking at the photos of their emotional first look it’s hard to believe that it almost didn’t happen.  “Initially, we both wanted to skip the first look and see each other for the first time at the ceremony, but after talking with Bonnie we decided to go ahead and do the first look and we are SO glad that we did. It was so sweet to have that moment for just the two of us and helped calm some of my nerves going into the ceremony,” Serina said. Just like the couple had envisioned, the overall decor for the day showcased a minimalistic, neutral color palette featuring predominantly dusty pinks, blush, and apricot. The Bliss Events team also made sure to incorporate modern touches such as an acrylic seating chart and a neon sign with the couple’s initials. After the romantic ceremony where everyone was “crying happy tears”, the emotional mood changed to PARTY mode for the reception. To ensure the celebration continued all night on the dancefloor, Serina and Frankie opted to go all in with the musical entertainment. “We couldn’t have been happier with having both a live rock band and a DJ. It was the best of both worlds for our reception,” Serina said. Bliss Events loved working with Serina and Frankie and we can’t wait to welcome them back to Los Cabos soon!
