I had the pleasure of working with another sweet couple from Chicago, Michelle and Marc. They choose the beautiful Dream’s Los Cabos to host their big day, and it turned out stunning. Michelle, the bride came to us asking for assistance in designing her wedding and assisting with the event the month of. She was the type of bride whom had a vision but wanted us to assist in executing it. I love the way her mind works….she is the type of person that knows what she wants, how she wants it but just needed someone else to do it so she could enjoy the big day.
The lovely couple had 35 guests join them for their big day and they were all so sweet. Marc was fortunate to have his 87 year old grandma (nana) here that made everyone’s heart melt. She was the cutest little thing that was extremely sentimental and you could tell very loved. The day started off with the bride getting ready with the help of Neysa Berman one of our favorite hair and make up artists in town. She always does a fantastic job and makes the bride look picture perfect. The ceremony took place in the gazebo with the ocean as the backdrop and local officiant Marco Arechiga, whom always does a great job. The bride looks absolutely beautiful in her custom dress and shoulder length veil. Her bridesmaids wore dresses designed by the bride herself and it looked fantastic on everyone. I kept saying how comfortable they looked and the bridesmaids all agreed. The groomsman were all handsome in their tan suits with white shirts and of course their flip flops. While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the couple moved around the hotel with their photographer Tomas Barron and the wonderful videographer team lead by Angel Zapion. They always do a great job capturing the big day and we are happy knowing our clients are in good hands. The wedding party and couple made a grand entrance to the reception and with what was one of the most laughable moments of the evening was when about 30 people lined the pools edge where water falls to the lower level and began doing the wave over and over. I love moments like these that are so unpredictable and so entertaining that even the bride and groom cannot help but chuckle.
The dinner started off with Nana giving grace and bringing people to tears. The couple was so honored to have her be such a special part of their day. After munching on some delicious food, the maid of honor Aisha whom bless her heart had to go through a car accident and a flight with out her bags to make it to the wedding gave a very heart felt speech that showed everyone how close her and Michelle are. The groom’s brother Brad then gave his speech and boy do they seem like two peas in a pod! The dancing began with the couples first dance, Marc and his nana then Marc and his mother. He surprised her by throwing in a fun song half way through their dance that she loved and that got the dance floor going. It did just the job. Ricardo the DJ, whom we love love love did a great job once again and really kept the energy up, the guests dancing and the couple happy.
One of my favorite parts of the evening was Michelle’s surprise when she literally stepped out of the bottom half of her dress. She had the seamstress make is so that the bottom half came off leaving her with a short fun dress to dance the night away in. How perfect!!! What would a wedding be with out wedding crashers? We got asked if some people could join in on the dance floor. The happy couple had no problem with it of course but it is one thing to have a few people crash, it is another to have 20 walk in and start dancing…..oh Michelle and Marc were so sweet and welcomed them with open arms. Got to love crashers! The evening ended around 10:30 and everyone’s feet hurt, shoes were off and I am pretty sure everyone broke a sweat. Of course with the event being held right by the pool, it is only fitting that someone goes in the pool. Whom better then the groom himself. He got carried by about 6 guys and next thing we know there was a big splash. The evening was a success and the couple were so happy and were so fortunate to have so many loved ones with them on their special day. Michelle and Marc, congratulation and thank you for allowing us to be with you and help you out with your wedding. You two are so sweet and we really enjoyed the opportunity of working with you. ~Kym *photo’s from Tomas Barron coming soon
